Well my friends, it’s finally here. I’m showing at Merry Karnowsky this weekend (April 21st). Yeah If there is one thing I am not, its jaded. Im my eyes its Everest, Mecha, winning mundials as a black belt. Anything else I’m going after is icing on my Tres leches. I obviously have a healthy respect for the gallery. It spans from the amazing artist that have used MK as a platform to share their ideals. It’s what the Staple center is becoming, that magical place in LA where I saw the Lakers take Boston to game seven and CRUSH them. Not to mention the direction Merry has given me through out my learning process.
Hand on heart, I love art. I love making it, looking at it, buying it, sharing it. I love God for blessing me with his amazing gift. Humbled to not only show with Merry but along side the Monsta Craola.
April 21st is just around the corner. I’m feeling good, scared, nervous, happy, and blessed at the same time. Its similar to how I feel before a fight in a tournament. A plethora of emotions that have been driving me to explore and learn. I’m not to sure I’ll release any photos, as the work is looking different and would rather save it for opening night. Or maybe Merry will sneak some photos out… we shall see.
I’m showing at my all time favorite gallery in the universe with one of my art heroes. How can it getter any better? I trust it will and I’m stoked to see how.
God is good, talk to y’all soon… OSSSS!
I’m crushed… haven’t felt this off in a wile. I had a dream last night that it was all a dream. The only thing that remains true, win or loose… I still bleed Purple N Gold. So I’m left to pick a team for this year. I’m a little on the fence with who I’d love to see win, but one things for sure. Beat MIAMI
Just got back from the Fifty24 show. Sf treated me well so if some of you Dodger fans can find it in you to be a little more hospitable that would be great. Prints are up on Upperplayground
I’ll post some photos once I settle in…. and yes I MISSED YOU LA
I hooked up with Sir Ian from Cat Cult and he produced a killer three layered screen print of Salt Peanuts. Salt Peanuts was a 8×8′ piece I painted for the Think space anniversary show. The small run is for my up coming solo at Fifty24 SF in April. I’m always getting grief for not producing prints or small affordable paintings. Well this show should solve everyones problems including global warming and male pattern baldness. More info to come, till then enjoy the sneak peek.
Recently got back from Prague, working on another top secret project. Kinda of a cool place worked a bunch so not much time to goof around. The pict is of a new friend Meredith wile hanging around on set.
Also getting ready for Fifty24, a show that I’m stoked for. Small gallery that has been host to some of my favorite artists. As some of you know I’ll follow it up with a solo show in LA at my all time dream gallery… CRAZY STOKED!!!!
Just about finished with all the paintings, just doing finishing touches. The majority of the show will be made up of small affordable pieces (your voice was heard). Only three large pieces and working on a print or a screen print… crossing fingers. Some photos and more info the closer we get to the show. If your in the SF area, please stop by and say hi. Talking to you Danielle
The fine people at Sketch Theatre pinned me down to a chair in Hussars room at Baby Tattooville. Not all that fond of what I sketched so I promised them I’d return and bust something proper. Till then enjoy
My Homie Kevin hooked up a photo shoot for his Creative Spaces project… Check It
So the good people of DicE Magazine hooked up the cover spot. Hands down my favorite Moto Mag, has that DIY feel. Next up, get my Triumph featured once Earl is done. If you’d like to pick up a copy hit’em up at DicE
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer… was Comicon as crazy for you as it was for me? The cover art is currently hanging in the Bristol Museum for the ART FROM THE NEW WORLD show
